Broken Arrow Athletics Announces Courtney Phillips as New Head Girls Golf Coach
Coach Phillips enters her third year with Broken Arrow Public Schools and brings an exceptional background in both competitive golf and education & competitive golf. This marks her third season coaching within the Broken Arrow golf program, and the district is excited to see her step into this expanded leadership role at the high school level.
A standout collegiate golfer at Northeastern State University, Phillips was a key contributor to a championship winning team, helping secure Lone Star Conference titles in 2004 and 2006. Her individual achievements include a 10th-place finish at the NCAA West Regional Tournament and being crowned Lone Star Conference Tournament Individual Champion in 2008. She was also named the Tulsa World Women’s City Champion in 2006, further solidifying her reputation in the sport.
Now in her 15th year as an educator, Coach Phillips will continue teaching math at Oneta Ridge Middle School, where she is known for her energy, dedication, and leadership both inside and outside the classroom.
“I’m excited to work with our student-athletes, their families, Coach Charlie Brown, and JJ Belcoff at Forest Ridge,” said Coach Phillips. “I can’t wait to share my passion for golf and servant leadership with the team.”
Amanda Snider, Deputy Director of Athletics, shared her enthusiasm for the new addition to the program.
“Coach Phillips brings a dynamic blend of experience, leadership, and unwavering positivity to our program,” said Snider. “Her ability to connect with student-athletes, lead with purpose, and create a supportive environment makes her an incredible asset to our team. We’re proud to have her on board and excited for the future of BA Girls Golf.”
